01 / WHO?
Who are the Spicy Boiz? We are a group of 14 high school students who have a dream of competing in the FTC robotics competition. We are based out of Mckeel Academy of Technology
02 / HOW?
We believe the journey is more important than the destination. Robotics has become a passion for our team; following has led to the discovery of true friendship, teamwork, and perseverance.
03 / WHY?
Our goal is to push ourselves as far as we can throughout the FTC Tournament; teamwork makes the dream work. We also hope to become better at building, programming, and critical thinking throughout the year.
Meet the ROBOT
DRIVETRAIN
Our robot is 4-wheel drive: meaning it runs off of 4 motors and uses 4 wheels.
There's two stealth wheels in the rear, and 4 omniwheels in the front. The omniwheels provide a better turn radius and also allows the robot to move from side to side. Our gear ratio is 1:1 which provides a balance of power and speed, which will help in competition.
